Get in Your Position

Do you ever look at something in some one's life and wish it were yours? It is so easy for us to look at the qualities of one's life and believe that "if I only had her job.....," or "if I had her place in ministry," or "if my husband was like hers," etc. we'd be satisfied. Truth is, if we took each other's positions we'd probably become miserable. It could be fun and exciting for a short season, but long term, we'd grow weary and discontent. Why? Because God did not create you for her place in ministry, for her husband, or to work her job. He created and positioned YOU to do and live just as you are. Very few of us have discovered our individual purposes and are carrying it out in our every day life. We waste SO much of our time either wishing or trying to live out someone elses because it seems more glamours than ours. We must discover our purpose and understand that whatever God has us individually doing it is ALL WORTHY. No one in the body of Christ can fill your designed position quite like you. No one can mother your kids quite like you. No one can work that job quite like you. When we understand the power of this, we will feel complete in finding our self and grow to the point of satisfaction by knowing that we are complementing the big picture. So many of us forfeit our destinies because we refuse to grow and expand in the place God has created for us. He wants to take all of us to the next level, but few of us will experience that next level because we're not momentarily living in or living out the position that was created for us.

Lets recognize this truth and ask God to put us back in our positions so that we not only grow more content and satisfied, but that we begin to compliment the big picture of our life and for His.

"And let PATIENCE have its FULL EFFECT, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." James 1:4
