Perspective:

Beth Moore's youngest daughter, Melissa, is serving and ministering to the people of India. She posted about an experience from her trip today (Thursday) on Living Proof Ministries' blog, and it has the heart wrenching power to change our shallow perspective on life and whats going on outside our tiny "world." I think we all can relate.
If you get a chance, check it out.

Embrace.....

EVERY
BIT
OF
WHO
YOU
ARE
because He has created you just the way you are to carry out his special, indivdiual plan for your life. He put that color hair on your head, gave you that shaped nose, build your body just that size, and place your personaility inside of you so that the purpose He has for your life could be complete by walking in the confidence that you are who God says you are.......BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT. He gave YOU a specific plan and a future to be carried out by YOU, not the person on TV or the person next to you. We try so hard to do what God's called us to do, while striving to look or be like someone else. He made you YOU. Embrace everything about yourself, walk in confidence, and know that God created you just the way you are for something perfect and significant. USE IT.

He IS......

Jesus desires for us to live in the fullness of who “He is.” He says in John 10 that He came to this Earth so that we could have abundant life. But how much abundant life do you allow Him to give you? There are so many qualities that make up who “He is,” and He is not sitting on His throne hoarding them for himself. He is begging us to let Him into every aspect of our life, so that He can be all these things to us, in us, and through us.

LOVE.
“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up His life for us” 1 John 3:16. Real love is an action, not just a feeling. Jesus could have saved himself a lot of pain and suffering by just telling us that He loved us instead of going through the gruesome death on the cross. But He loves us SO much that He demonstrated his love for us by suffering the most painful death any human has ever experienced and will ever experience. Jesus, perfect, holy, and powerful could have called himself off the cross or could have intervened during the lashes cutting into His flesh. Instead, he bore it all. Yes for our sins, but He went to through the most radical death to express His radical love for us. It didn’t stop on the cross. Jesus, today, still wants to demonstrate this radical love to us if we will open our hearts to receive it.

Our PROVIDER.
He wants to provide for every one of our needs. Matthew 6 encourages us not to be anxious about tomorrow. If God will take care of the flowers and the birds; He will definitely take care of His children. I feel as if people all around me are consumed with the way the economy is operating right now which is producing large amount of stress about finances. God is fully aware of what is going on, and even in the toughest times; He will provide for every house payment, utility bill, car insurance, life insurance, etc. However, Jesus tells us to seek HIM first, so all things will be given to us (Matthew 6:33). He didn’t tell us to first seek after those things. He said to seek after Him so that HE can give us more than we need. He knows that if we try to provide for ourselves, we’ll gain barely enough if any to get by.

Are you opening up your life so that He can provide for you?

Our Father.
Earthly fathers that adore and love their children want the best for them and desire that they have everything they need and more. Jesus doesn’t just provide the bare essentials for our needs, but He wants to give us more gifts and blessings than we could ask for.

“If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him?” Matthew 7:11.

Are you able to view Jesus as your Father?

Is Fear Stopping Your Progress?

Have you ever met someone who appears to have the “cookie cutter” lifestyle? Or, if they don’t appear that way; they strive extremely hard to paint the perfect little picture of life. No worries, no struggles, problem- free, and enjoying every minute of life. Reality is, I don’t know if such a person exists. And chances are, you either have been that person or might very well be letting this unreachable goal suck the life out of you right now. We have all at some point in our life bought into this lie from the enemy that trials, struggles, temptation, and problems of any sort are abnormal and definitely should NOT be mentioned or confessed. Therefore, since we have allowed these lies to penetrate into our minds, we have given Satan the authority to mobilize our day to day life by what people think and know about us. James 5:16 tells us to confess our sins to one another, so that we may be healed. This scripture doesn’t say that we “might” be healed, but Jesus promises us that through confessing our sins to Him and to others we will be healed from the burdens and baggage that have been weighing us down for so long. However, very few us rarely experience such healing, because we spend more of our time avoiding the possibility of being rejected than we do building relationships that are firm, loving, and unconditional. Truth is, we all have things in our life that need to be dealt with; but we’re too afraid of what someone might think about us if we actually confessed that we need prayer.

What we have to remember is that not one of us has it all together. There is something going on inside everyone single of us, and God surrounds us with the very people He has put in our lives to encourage and pray for us. Romans tells us that we ALL have fallen short of the glory of God. And praise God that as scripture repeatedly tells us, He is much more interested in our relationship with Him rather than our performance for Him. Therefore, if we will begin to ask God to grant us the amount of faith to overcome this fear that is stopping the progress of developing fruitful relationships with people and direct intimacy with God; we will not only begin to walk in healing, but we really will obtain the pure joy that James 1 mentions as we persevere through the trials and tribulations that we as Christians WILL face (because we share in His suffering). We were not created to live life alone. Jesus came so that we would have abundant life (John 10:10). But to receive the fullness of this abundance, we must give abundant life ourselves.

So, instead of continuing to let fear build these towers-some walls in your relationships by refusing to let people fellowship with you in the good times and bad times, begin to build authentic, confident relationships that scripture calls us to walk in by encouraging, confessing, building up, loving, and praying.

Another Engagement!

Another wedding is in the works and on the way! Kristy Cloud and Jon Sloan will be getting married in August of this year. Kristy is a pure testimony of James 1. This scripture tells us that the testing of your faith will produce endurance, and once that endurance is gain we will be perfect and complete lacking in NOTHING.
Kristy went through years of suffering because of a previous relationship that resulted in abuse to not only her, but to her three year old little girl. Kristy escaped the relationship, but in the past year has still been dealing with this situation. Because of the court's decision, her three year old little girl is required to visit her dad every other weekend. Can you imagine the pain, grief, fear, etc. of having to let go of your daughter for an entire wekeend knowing that the same hands that are guilty of abuse are responsible for "taking care" of your child for three whole days? Not a weekend went by where Kristy would shed many tears about having to pass her child on to her father. But through the tears and unbearable heartache, her faith increased and she continued to walk and believe in God's faithfulness. She still believes that God is going to redeem this circumstance and until then she clings to the promise of His word. Kristy clings to knowing that God has His best interest for her life and that
"if she could see the big picture that God sees, shed make the same decisions for her life"
Someone that has and somewhat is still walking through every mother's nightmare still has the faith to believe that God's hand is on her and her child's life. Because of gaining all the perseverance she carries with her, God has given her the most amazing, Godly handsome man ever girl dreams about. Jon is her prince that God has been saving just for her and the daddy her little girls never had.
When the trials and tribulations storm through your life, know that God has something so incredible on the other side. Kristy will be soon be the wife of an incredible pastor and she will be able to use her story to minister to women of all ages as she serves and stands next to her man.
Kristy, we are beyond proud of you. And the steadfastness you've obtained through your circumstances is encrouagement and a testimony for all of us to live by.
We love you!

Recommendations:

A few of our girls have recently finished these books and have highly recommended them to anyone looking to be fed. God has enlightened are hearts and minds through the wisdom and knowledge that each one of these authors have to share. So....if you're desiring a "good read," know that you will not be disappointment from either one of the four. Rather, stronger; wiser; encouraged; and inspired. If you feel led to pick one up to dive into, we pray your heart is encouraged and that God speaks to you just as He spoke to us. Take advantage of the resources that our available to us. God has given so many authors not only the gift to write, but to take their experiences, circumstances, and life challenges; and articulate them into teachable lessons for us to learn and grow from.

Its in the air.....

Future.....
Mrs. Lovell
and
Mrs. Standridge
Two people falling in love is probably the most beautiful thing one can ever witness. Marriage is one of the many great gifts that Jesus will allow some of us to experience during our time here on Earth. All throughout scripture we read about His deep love for the church. Just as we have those people in our lives that we love with everything in us Christ has someone to. Its you and its me.

The church is HIS love.
The church makes HIS stomach turn with butterflies.
It makes Him to do crazy thing.....ie DYING.

Loving a significant other, a friend, or a family member is a tiny fraction of how much He loves us. God has allowed us to get to a small earthly glimpse of the deep, unconditional, self-less love that He has for the church through marriage. Marriage is the only repsentation that we have that express the unity and love of Christ and the church. Marriage is a beautiful sacred thing and we are so excited for these two couples who will get to experience this gift from God.

We are so happy for you and can not wait to see what God does through your marriages. We love you girls!

Good pick, Vince and Justin.

The Miracles of the Cross

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 is the definition of the Gospel. …that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. – 1 Cor. 15:3-4. What is the Gospel message? It is that Jesus came & died for our sins. Romans 5:8 says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Christ died on the Cross when we were saying, “I don’t want You!”

There are 5 miracles of the Cross. They are found in Matthew 27:45-56.

(1) The supernatural power of “turning off the lights.” From the 6th hour until the 9th hour darkness come over all the land. – Matt. 27:45. Was it that the sun had sympathy for its Creator. If people were going to “turn off” the Light of the world, then maybe the sun was going to show the people what darkness really is…

(2) The tearing of the curtain. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. – Matt. 27:51a. The curtain was to keep men out of the presence of God. People won’t be right with God by just “keeping the law” now, but thru a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The tearing of the curtain gives us an open invitation to come into the presence of God (Heb. 10:19.)

(3) The earth shook & rocks split. …the earth shook & the rocks split. – Matt. 27:51b. Jesus told the Pharisees that if His disciples didn’t tell the world about Him then the stones will cry out (Luke 19:40.) Have you noticed that only one disciple came to His crucifixion? Peter was the only one who spoke out and/or did anything in His defense? Peter cut off the ear of a servant of the high priest (Matt. 26:51.) Will you be faithful in Christ in everything?

(4) The graves opened. The tombs broke open & the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. – Matt. 27:52.

(5) A man was saved. When the centurion…were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake & all that had happened…exclaimed “surely He was the Son of God. – Matt. 27:54. The greatest miracle is the salvation of souls.

There was a man who was a drunk for 20 years. His family was hurt by him, they were in debt by his habit & then one he came to know the Lord. One of his friends asked him if Jesus really turned water into wine? The man said, “I don’t know, but what I do know is the liquor turned into furniture. Beer turned into clothes for my family. Whiskey turned into money to pay off my debts.” What has God done for you? What miracle has He done for you? Remember the greatest miracle of all is the salvation of souls.
